Today the sun is shining!! And it's the end of the world as We know it!?!?

I had a great time at Renee's last night just enjoying our friend Frannie and the fall rain and the last week of beautiful weather. Now, I not trying to jinx it or anything,but it is October 24th and all the leaves are on the ground. I did have a great day in the office and caught up on paper work.



Renee and a surprise visit from Francheska was my high light, which was singing and carrying on till it was time to go home. Zaq, my new roommate's birthday was yesterday,but I had too much fun without him so I was tucked neatly in bed by the time he got home. I was glad that I could wake him that morning to my ritual music box rendition to happy birthday. Today, I should work around the house but it feels like a bookie day on hump day and her some photos out and about before it all goes back down to the dark and dingiest time of the year. This day is mine and I plan on conquering it with stride and chin high! Even if it feels like I am faking it. Last here I was at Saugatuck and this was the photo I took. Let see if I can top this one today...

Fall has arrived 2012

This weekend was the change to colder weather and it felt good to get the last of the garage done. I worked on the details so that it did not look like a garage and more like a artist studio. I have my first photo-shoot today and I can't wait! The garage seems to be the only place in my house that is MINE nowadays and it will be a place that I can escape to my own little world of artistry with out a computer. I do not plan on having anything in their that does not say creative.. Hopefully that world will flourish and my artwork will evolve to a skill set that I have wanted to go into for a very long time.
Only time will tell.

Jazz fest 2012

Wow, it August already! Where oh where did this summer go! I had to blow the first sign of late summer out of my yard to get ready for the wonderful yearly Jazz Fest that happens at my house and my little old north Lansing every August. I have been working all summer to have my house painted and ready for this weekend! Here is how we will look for the wonderful weekend of Jazz fest 2012.



The front porch is ready and now there are new deck and steps! Bertlee should be out early and I can't wait for the wonderful friends to start pouring in! Happy jazzy Friday! Come on by and have a drink with me!

East Lansing Art Festival

Well another year has come and gone and the kick off to summer is the East Lansing Art Fair. I have to say that with the construction this years festival was really odd. It seemed bigger than ever, but the flow sucked! Music was shoved into the police parking lot and people seemed rude. We only stayed 3 hours and then Bertlee made these beautiful pies!


Well I am off to get some eye drops because my eyes are killing me! dam allergies! Then back to start on painting and scraping the house!

Last day of college for this year 2011!

The last day, last class and looking forward to time off during the holidays. We have been watching a show called SOAP for the 70's at our friend Cathy Parker on Sunday night. We have made it though the first season and there are 3 more. It takes us back to a time that things where different. It's worth checking out!

I turned in all my homework last week and this is just the last class where we give feed back for the course. I would really like to skip, but it does effect my grade so I desided to just stick it out one last class.

Monday ,December 16 th 

Well today is the last day of class for the year of 2011 and it is a little bitter sweet. I was hopping for it to end and now it's here I wish it would go on forever. I learned that visiting the past can be a roller coaster, but sometimes you just have to be strapped in and take the ride. I learned alto about my fellow students and where they are going I there life. I look forward to working with many of them in this new year of 2012.

As for feeling that I am going in the right direction, it's a toss up this week. I know I am a very good image maker and my photos hanging at The soup spoon is getting great reviews, I just feel that 2012 has to bring all this work into a clear and concise point of veiw. I know that I plan on staying in the field of photographry and video, just how will I make more money at it in 2012. Only time will tell, as I always say, Time is Everything!

 Happy end of the year blues and looking forward to the brighter future of 2012.  

November already! What a great Party light candle party!

Well as you can see I have not written for at least a month because the fall weather has a way of keeping me busy.
Getting the leafs and lawn aren't put away is a sad time for me , but as we all know this is not a dress rehearsal and life will alway march on. I spent allot of October getting wedding and college stuff done.
Friday was a great time to think about the smells of the house, and our party light party was a great success .
I was the only one that went to bed at a decent morning hour and the house is sleeping in, so I snuck out to breakfast at heart and soul.
It was a great candle party I think everybody everybody had a great time. Dan and Danny bought the nicest candle mirror candle holder. I had a great sleep early morning because they where up till then!

First day back to college

No I did not win when I went fire keeper casino, but I did get this lovely photo with theses hotties!
Monday August 29th 2011
Today is the first day of college for the fall and I tried to get into a early morning audio class today with no avail. I guess it's not suppose to be fun at all this term, just world cinema and employment issues in the media market. Oh well, I did wait for the end of the degree to take yucky classes. Who knows, maybe I will like them. David hafts one teaches both and I hope I can handle having him for both classes. He sometimes is over board. Summer went WAY too fast! It was just juke last week! I had a great time this summer with all our new and seasoned friends. I have only one regret. I did not get the house painted yet. I had so much energy in june and it was going well, but July said relax, you got the whole summer....well I will have to kick it in after the labor day holiday. We are going to Canada and taking the ferry out of Tobmory to South Baymouth then on to Sue ste Marie. I have never gone that way and can not wait for the beautiful trip. It will be great to put my trained eyes to something different. Keep a look out I am sure I will be posting them out for the world to see.

Well that time of the year has arrived again and it usually means there is birthday right around the corner. Yep Bertlee will be 56 tomorrow and he looks marvelous! August hump day....

The day is really nice so it is a deception day here in Lansing.
The storm last night remind me of this day at the beach where It rained hard and the weather cooled right down.

I love the wind and the crisp in the air as I ride my bike down the river front trail. I have a bitter sweet feeling this morning, I know how Bertlee always feels around his birthday. College starts next week Monday, and I am not ready for it either. I feel like if I went to Fenner park and yelled at the top of my lungs, I don't want summer to go and please stay longer! I would feel better. Maybe just the yelling would help. So instead shelly and Bertlee made stuffed cabbage rolls and a wonderful meal and we watched a movie that shelly wanted to watch. Next time there will have to be a vote like at Jason's house.
Either way the thunder storm lulled me to sleep and the wash of water will clean thoughts of things to come, good night world.



Wedensday 24th 2011
I woke up to birds chirping outside my window, and it was so peaceful. Toby the cat was telling me at 7 am it was time to get up so I grabbed him shoved him under the covers and told him to relax, it was way too early. I had some uneasy dreams after that but I know it will pass. It's this time of the year, I just can't shake it! I have been waking up to the new channel in town that plays country music 24/ 7 and I like it. This morning it was good mooring beautiful how was your night, mine was wonderful with you by my side,when I opened my eyes and see your sweet face I know it's going to be a beautiful day...... Toby smiled and meowed. He's such a great friend! Unconditional love and friendship is so great with your animals. We have 4 and I know that seems like a lot but Toby and Tabithia have been with me for 12 years and the other two for three.
Bertlees cat butters can be such a smarty cat and Benny is dumber than a box of rocks. Tabitha is a bitch and Toby is a lover. So there you go. Everybody is different, it seems so weird
When people don't understand that. I love the diversity of my house and friends..



They help me feel like I just might be doing this right. When you are your own boss sometimes it's nice to get feedback, and with the economy being down like it is the Refferal's still come, just not as often. I can't wait to meet with the wedding Chappel. We had talked some about me doing there video last febuary at the quality suites show. I was going to meet with them yesterday, but they had to reschedule because of a funeral.
See, we have to live our lives to the fullest everyday so just in case this is the last one we won't feel jipped out on what we did not take time for. Live, love and laugh often!
Off for the rest of my bike ride and breakfast was wonderful!

The hottest weekend in July! It's over 100 degrees!

Well I can tell you that in Michigan we complain about the weather all the time and today is no excuse not to. I slept in till10 not wanting to get out of my wonderful air-conditioned room. Bertlee had first shift last night in the air. He was miserable because he has a hard time sleeping with his copd anyways so I turned the air on and told him to go lay down and read his book or at least take a knap. That was 8 last night and he slept like a baby! His word was phenomenal ! Our friend Kalina is moving to florida and we are having a going away party for her Friday, so Bertlee is going to cook up a storm today. I told him keep it light and summery but he wants to make a cake so the oven has to come on...I told him use the microwave but he doesn't think it will come out. Old school cook, and don't try to change him. He cooks just fine. We did say we where going to try fresh juicing. Berts niece cricket, has all the stuff and we are going on Monday to get a lesson.

Two weeks later...
Well I will tell you that I love fresh juice and I miss it tremendously! We had carrot ginger lime or lemon, this beet apple and ginger, it was wonderful! I had so much energy by the time we took it back i wanted to keep it forever! I am still trying to bid on one but they coat around 100.00 used so I just missed it by 29 bucks since we do not want to spend over 80 dollars. I hope to get one soon.
Today I am going down to Lcc to get my classes for this fall. Unfortunate that they start in august, but that is just the way it is. I have felt the pull to get the rest of the things done that I had not gotten to so far this summer. I feel the pull and really it kind of hurts! Dam summer! It goes so fast! Hopefully this will be the productive day that I am hoping for. Hell, I have to stop that it will be the best day for a hump day in August!! I am at the soup spoon for a quick breakfast then off to the wonderful day ahead. I watched the movie source code last night, Wow was that really good! The apple tv updated so that I could get what I had already purchased and my wonderful channel Vimeo is now joined the apple family on the apple TV. Before the source code ended I rewound it to see if I could fool apple to let somebody else watch it. I will find out tonight.

August 1st just arrived today...missed feelings

Well this last weekend in July was fun and relaxing. We had nothing on our agenda that was planned. Kalina is on her way to floridia with her new life ahead of her. She came over more this last week and we where over to her place twice. I know we both will miss her terribly, especially Bertlee. They have been friends for over 30 years and it will be a new experience for her and for Bert. I had the black background set up in the garage and we took some great pictures with nit this weekend. June 23rd what a morning! Summer has arrived!

Working on a video is very time consuming and yesterday was the day to burn midnight oil. I have been working on many projects, but because it rained yesterday, it was the day to say inside and get going on the many projects in house.











My birthday week was wonderful and I did get a lot of projects done for the summer so soon I can relax and enjoy the fruits of my labor.


Summer for me is over in August 28th because I am on my last year of college....I hope. When I grow up I want to be a photographer and video historian,I say,oh I forgot I am so now how to incorporate that into what I have been learning. I will say that taking editing class sure has helped me in the projects that I am editing right now! But enough of work. I have lost 19 pounds and only have 16 more to go to get to my goal. My blood pressure is down and now I just have to find out about my gall stones. Not bad for 47.


I hope Taylor the best today, he is going though his 20's with some bumps and bruses but who hasn't. Heck I was married and worked 60 hrs a week on a sales floor at ABC warehouse. I got to have only Sunday's and tuesdays off for 6 years. Other than that in was tied to giving up all my youth to my job. I expect that is why I am still here to talk about it today. I am sure that things will go true and just for Taylor. I love that crazy guy! So I am looking foreword to the weekend and I hope that it is full of warm sunshine for Bertlee's family reunion. Gosh, fourth of July is right around the corner! Where does the summer go?
