The wow whirlwind of July

I have to say that it was a lovely wet June in Michigan and my plant are looking so great! I did not have to water only twice and now the yard look marvelous ! July kicked off with my 2nd annul a 4th of July party and it was just a wonderful time with all that attended. Jamie set up his karaoke in the garage and Myles and amber came down early and helped me clean the garage. I put tile down in the garage and now it looks better than my kitchen floor! He'll I probably could rent it out if it had a bathroom. I will say that the first of July went off with a bang! The beach was so fun on the 4th and now that saugatuck city own the gay side it is not the place for the gays to hang out anymore. We all had fun and Renne brought Jamie and a bottle of tequila.
You the saying one tequila,two tequila ,threes tequila floor? Well that was me. I think the night before and the sun caught up with me. Bertlee even got pictures! Nope I won't post them. I was already embarrassed. Thank god that my boys can drive because Bertlee was two sheets to the wind too!
Happy 4th of July !
July 5th the Monday after.
Well we where moving a lot slower than usual but it was great after we got some food in us. I brought some more of my new prints down to heart and soul and we had Chinese. Bertlee had the day off thank god because he was running slower than me. After brunch he said he was going tom take a nap. I worked I t the office for awhile and tootled around the house and finished up cleaning up after the party. It was a beautiful day and I wish we would of stayed at the beach but the boys and amber had to work. I think I will go back over on teusday to see my buddy Hal. He is on vacation this week in Saugatuck. I left him a message and if he calls I think I will go see him. Night night sweet dreams!
Teuday, July 6th
Hal called this morning and thought it would be lovey for me to meet him downtown Saugatuck for lunch and a day at the beach.
Hal just got his kiack and put it in the water for the first time today. He was so excited. The Monday night was kind a wet yucky night because he went to town and left his tent open and boom there was the rain. Shame, shame on his camping boy scout skills. Never leave your tent open because it will always rain. Boy scout rule # 1. So Hal slept in the wet spot. I am sure that was not the first time. I arrived over their about noonish
And the drive over was wonderful. I tried running pandora music all the way over and it was wonderful! The update from apple to 4.0 has made it a wonderful improvement to my iPhone. I am glad I did not buy the new one because there are problems with it dropping calls. I have the best of both worlds until next year. I just love apple! I have been transformed. I arrived at the Mermaid on the docks a little later than Hal because I had to stop and take a photo or two or well three. Here they are and I have to say that they where really worth it!

Fathers Day weekend

We had a really busy weekend with open houses and
a barbecue at my brothers house in Elsie. I had never been out to Barbies friend Linda's house. It was really nice! Taylor and I went to East Lansing jazzfest to see the singers for awhile. I love jazz and Taylor is not into it too much, but he hung out with me for a little,being fathers day weekend and all. We went to dublin square and had a wonderful lunch. Taylor won this at suits in the city when I took him in June . The day was so nice and the weather after the storm was so much better. There was a storm that came in Friday that had 75 mile an hour winds and wow what a storm. Bertlee drove though it and I raced it back home. I had my air conditioner fixed in my car on friday by Jason. I just made it nome almost at the same time as Bertlee. I jumped in the back seat to hear my new subwoofer and he ran into the house because he was scared.

I joined him and in turn we stayed up to watch a movie and then retired to bed. The only problem with that is bet lee could not sleep and this friend Bartum came to get him first thing fathers day to go out and take a ride in her mustang convertible . He was spent by the time I got home because he could not sleep during that storm. So jazz without him was fine and with Taylor was even better. The open house was fun and Taylor left early so we stayed late. Bert was pooped out early so I dropped him off and stopped by Rennes . It was good to see franchesica and tonya along with Kendra and Renne. I also got to see Martin and it was so nice to chat with him and get him this wonderful photo that I took like 3 years ago.
Ended up home by 11:30 and it was a wonderful full day.

Fathers day 2010
My brother Bobby was having a cook out at his house in Elsie, Michigan where I grew up and went to school. He never escaped like I did, so off to bobbies house for fathers day 2010
We stopped by to see my other dad Oscar, and he is receiving from a small procedure or he would of been down to bobbies too. I got both my dads a singing card and Oscar just loved the song and the funny way that the card wiggled. We arrived at Bobbys about 3 and just like any county gathering all the guys where in lawn cars in the garage. Don't ask me why,but kitchen and garages are all the rave in the country. Now not that Bobby does not have a wonderful deck out back, it just seems to be the comfort zone for country folk. My younger brother and his new wife Olga are coming to Elsie for a reception T Dad and Edies house and what are they doing for it, paint there two car garage. About dam time the last kids graduation was like 12 years ago and dam it needed it! We all have a little country in us and I am gist poking fun, I love where I grew up. He'll when my sons open house was over and my birthday party started right after we had karaoke set up in the garage. Now we did hang out on the deck overlooking the garage until it started down pouring and we all bee lined it to where...the garage. Now that was the great place to be! So, when We arrived at bobbies it was nice to see Michelle, Dad, Edie and all the new faces from Michelle's family. Bobby has not had a party like this since Jackie had left, and now that he is single it was good to see he is healing and letting us into his new life. For god sake it's about time he invited his brother and family over! What a great host Bobby is and I hope he remembers us all this time around. Whatever happens in this life he is still my brother and I am glad he has included me this time. Happy Fathers day Bobby and dad and to all the fathers out there.

Birthday Party barbecue

After a wonderful weekend at gay pride I still had a little celebrating to do on tuesday June 15. Monday was really a slow moving day. Everybody was hung from the weekend festivities. JR slept the whole day away and Bertlee was a zombie. I moved slow to the drum beat of a gray Monday.
Before I went to bed I prayed for good weather on my birthday.


Teusday, June 15th 2010
I had some really weird dreams last night. I woke up with some really big weird dreams. My neck was sore right behind my noter neck and it was weird to be sore there. I felt like I was a medium like on tv. I don't want to talk about them but there was death involved. I was not going let this ruin my birthday though.
After a lazy Monday I was ready to get the day going. To do something different, I went to scullersn books for coffee. The good lord did a great job at not having it rain, but it was still a very overcast day. Schullers books is a great getaway for me because I get to catch up on my magazine reading and I love there 7 layer energy bar. Melt the chocolate,Carmel and butterscotch for 22 seconds in the microwave and you have love with coffee. It also creates a wonderful buzz to sit down and write in my blog. I wanted a day that I could sit back and just relax until I was ready ton have it play forward. That was until about 2 pm then it was time to get the food for the cook out in was having on the back porch. Bertlee got stuff for his special potato salad at lunch and we never go there but
My mind said I had lots of time and when I got home Bertlee was working on the potato salad and I got taylor to cut up fruit and I started the grill. My friends started to show up around 6 ish and was so happy tom have them all there for my birthday.

I told each and everyone of them that I am so happy that they all showed up and that I am thankful for having such such great friends. If it was not for friends and family I don't know where I would be. There was 15 or 17 of my peeps there and I missed some but they where there in spirit.
The feast of food was so good and the corn patato Saldana and fruit was a great hit. I hope I have this many friends on my 86th birthday!
