Full moon and craziness plus Kalamazoo getting ready

Well if you can not tell this is the lamb week in Michigan. It was bitter cold for two weeks and it makes you hate Michigan, now it is thawing out like the the witch from Naria has lost her powers. You go Aslan!

I needed to get out of the house today before it swallowed me up with work so I am sitting at Panera for lunch. Lots of people watching and the computers are flowing and people are busy, what a site for a blogger. It took 3 cups of coffee this morning to wake up and now I am ready to roar! I had to call my website people to find out why my website did not open in Internet explorer. I use google chrome now and I just never go and look till yesterday. I was getting a canvas print made by Jeff the canvas guy, and he wondered what I had been up to.
Jeff Kluck uses Explorer and it did not open my prints at the top.
I am changing them today so it was perfect timing.
Called photoshelter and they will get back to me soon.
It is really nice to have a web company that can help you instead of just telling you that your code is wrong.

As for lunch, it is way good and Todd the manager at Panera, is selling his house in Charlotte.
He asked me if I photograph houses and I hope to get him to spend a little money to let me make it look good for remax to sell.
Life is about leads and timing.
Talk about timing I tried to put the video program avid on my computer and it failed.
It took 3 hours to clean all the shit it put on there in the hour it took to install to find it did not work.Flustered beyond belief yesterday.
When my girl Sharon at cartiage world called I was ready for a break.
I looked back put my rear view mirror and saw the reason this day was so frustrating. It is a full moon this weekend and OMG was the moon in a mist !
So today Aslan is winning and the magical powers of the world has taken me over!

"He'll be coming and going" he had said. "One day you'll see him and another you won't. He doesn't like being tied down--and of course he has other countries to attend to. It's quite all right. He'll often drop in. Only you mustn't press him. He's wild, you know. Not like a tame lion."
— C.S. Lewis (The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe)

I am going home getting my camera and going to go take pictures!
See them later here on the blog and at www.rogerfrye.com

My first day in college and my moms birthday

Project get my house in order and be organized in 2011 is deeply on it's way.

I went to ikea yesterday on one of the coldest days of the year. It was only 9 degrees whe I woke and I was not ready to leave the house, but I did and glad of it. Breakfast was wonderful I ran into Melinda and Ray at the old town diner. Both of them are back to college also, and Ray told me that Melinda received a addie for her work of a film last year. I met them about 3 years ago at the first annual studio hop. That is when I found out just how many people are in my area doing all sorts of media work. We had so much fun at stobers bar after party, which was catered by Zane of the golden harvest, North Lansing.
I have a print of his restaurant and when people move out of the area they buy it.
He has sold over 600.00 to date. Just love Zane and his family!

Anyways it was so nice to hear the 411 of Ray and Melinda's life. Ray is a wonderful 6 foot 5 Teddy bear and Melinda is a 5 foot 3 Asian American. We must of talked only for 1/2 an hour but the brainstorming was wonderful. The I was off to ikea with Jamie. It was only 22 degrees so driving was a mess. We had a near miss which scared the bajesus out of me and we missed the exit.
I figured it out 20 miles later when downtown Detroit signs starting popping up. We ended up getting to ikea about 4:20 and was one of the only couple of guys in the warehouse! Talk about dead, what a perfect day for ikea. I got some organize stuff, and a few new shelve for my office storage cabinet and some samon and shrimp on toast with a cheese spinach crepe'. Wow was that good!

We made it home for bowling which as usual one game in the 110 range and one under 60.... I don't bowl well.
Before I went off to bed I called mom to wish her a wonderful birthday and hope she has a wonderful day. School and pre production and post production classes on Tuesday. Then American idol with my girl Jennifer Lopez! Ya! Oh ya Bertlee made a wonderful roast yesterday so hummus tonight too.

January is snowing and the ole man is watching it snow

I did so good not getting the cold that had been passed around our house during the holiday, until today. It's only the 6th of January and I now have a head cold! I feel bad for Bertlee, he has had all of them I think. So I tools shower late and bundled up and went to deliver my first big sale of the year. Mark, at Marks key shop wanted my beautiful print of North by Northwest. I had stopped in there to get Taylor a key and showed it off to him then. He had just bought 3 of my other prints at the turner dodge show in october. I had to stop back by because his intern did not do the key right and he paid me today for it. I feel so abundant! Sick your not you can not get me down. I stopped at fleetwood diner which is right down the road for some hippie hash. Then off to the gym for a steam and a spa day. This elephant on my face will not get me down!
Oh I almost forgot, Comcast will be residing my whole house because they say I have to much noise coming out of my house at the end of the line. HA! I could of told them that for years but they charge way too much to rewire your house. This will cost them but I have been a customer since 1991 I think it's time they do something for free for me. It will take two days because I have LOTS of electronics. I feel so abundant!!! Happy thrusday!

First week on January

Well I will say that my cold is on the other side of the road after sleeping for the last 3 days. I think I believe in the steam and the flu shot. Bertlee is still down so I am out on a sunny saturday at the old town diner. I don't stop here very often and I ran into Myles Green. I just ran across his card when was cleaning out my cards. Can you believe that? He and is son and girlfriend where just so nice! I wanted to get to know him way back then so now I have a second chance to do so. He is a handsome man and so is his son, I would not expect anything less than to be with a wonderful beautiful woman. Dam! You know how when you meet somebody there Ora swims around them and you see there sensual tingle? Well that was Myles then, it would be fun to see if it is still there, 15 years later.
I wish bert felt better because the sunshine is doing me good.
After breakfast I am going to the Schulers books to look up things for Facebook. Somebody must of written a book on all the ins and outs by now.
Talk more later.

The last day of 2010

The last few days have been a little weird for me. I have been off for the holidays but I have not gone anywhere. I decided to spend my money on Christmas gifts and I think it paid off just fine. I cleaned the house for 3days straight and boy am i sore but it looks like this now.

My son Myles came down from college and has decided to spend the week here instead of going back up to Saginaw. I was totally geeked! Taylor my youngest son lives with me and we don't get to see Myles as often as we would like so I am glad he decided to stay. Taylor will be working 2nd shift as of the new year and I woke up to the smell of bacon!?!
When I got downstairs I expected breakfast made for me but it was just enough for Taylor, so I went out to heart and soul to write my last blog of 2010.
I have been sad for two days and sore from playing xbox360 kinncet. My shoulders are so sore because you have to be the controller and it is great exercise! Wow am I out of shape.
I really need to start going to the gym and working out.
The reason I am sad is Taylor is hiding his feelings from me and does not want to be at my warm and loving house anymore.
Now yes he is 20, and at that age the world is your oyster and nothing can stop you, I remember it was just yesterday for me.....
I wish he would think about how bad the world is swallowing up people twice his age are affected more than ever before.
This recession should not make us leave and try to make it on our own, it should bring us closer together.
I really wish he would just talk with me and not be so stubborn.
Only time will tell.

I love you Taylor, no matter how stubborn you are.
(side note from parenthood which I think is my new favorite show so far this year.)
(Line from the show that aired last night it was a young man that worked at the homeless soup kitchen.)
I am solid....when your young you have to go along with who people think like your parents think you are and should be. I get that, but my parents where not there for me and at 16 I emancipated myself. I ate at the soup kitchen a lot then and I am thankful that I pulled it together. My dad was a drunk and I have been sober for 6 month now. I am now solid.

Now that I am a adult I get to be who I want to be live it the way I see it and I love myself more than ever.
Accept me for that and I will succeed.
Don't judge me for my past when I had so little control over my upbringing, look at me as the wonderful hardworking young man putting himself though collage.
Proud of what I have suffered for and not so proud of my failures.
I have stopped living in the past and have accepted myself for the Man I am, building a successful future for myself.
(I loved that speech and it fit with exactly with the situation last night. I don't like to quote but it was worth it. I could not have said it better.)
I am also very proud of both my young men. I am thankful that they have adjusted well since there mom died, and that I can keep a roof over my head for all my friends and roommates that make me feel loved in this messed up world we live in. On a lighter note, I just received a letter from the dean at college, that I am on her Dean's list. I have a 3.17 and she wanted to thank me for putting so much effort into my schooling.
I really thank the powers above for all my friends and the time to get some kind of degree so late in the game. It is harder for us over 40 to go back to school and I emailed all day knowing that that letter was a pat on the back that I needed here at the end of the year.
Jamie got home last night from his moms and got me a wonderful gift. He dropped it off before he left but I wanted to wait to open it when he was there. He got me a cashmere scarf and I have to say it make me look marvelous! This is Jamie with his and Michael's baby.

Well it is time to say goodbye to 2010 and hello abundant 2011!
I look foreword to the adventure and know next year hold success and great adventure for me.
New years eve here we come!

The shortest day of the year!

I decided to go somewhere different for breakfast today. Sawyers pancake house. When sherry was here We went here with Oscar and mom. Boy are the pancakes good! I am having fresh peanut butter on mine and it is delicious! I walked in and the artist actor Sineh Wirie, from my cinema class was right there before me! I had not had a chance to show Sineh Wirie his video I did for the class so little ray ray iPad to the rescue.
Here is the video if you want to see it http://vimeo.com/17548573
Sineh was so appreciative, that I think he's buying my breakfast!

It is starting to feel like Christmas. I got to almost sit on Santa claus lap this year but i did not want to break his leg with all the presents he has to deliver!
Bertlee had too much egg nog at Susan and Brindley's party and got himself ran down so he got sick on Monday. He is on the mend and I hope he will be fine for Christmas. Bertlee is going way up north with his grand daughters and there mom. I will have the boys and Edie and dad over for a wonderful dinner on christmas day. The next day we will be going to John and Tammy's new house to celebrate with mom oscar and my sisters family.

Christmas is for little kids and I can not wait to see Holly and Daniel for the holiday season! Sister Sherry will not be here this time but she was for thanksgiving. Sherry and Holly by golly look fabulous!

I now have to go home and clean the living room to make room for the presents and the fun that this holiday season will bring.
I may not be able to spend spend spend durning this season, but the love and fellowship of my family and friends is what christmas is about. Good meal and wonderful memories will fill my house this Christmas season and I think the good lord above for all my blessings. Merry Christmas to one and all!

What a great Friday in December ! Ho Ho you and I mean you!

I was out to bingo yes I said BINGO last night and it was so much fun! I did not think that Erich was going to be there but I pulled up right behind his escape. I worked really hard getting all the errands done for the day and my last stop was at Marks lock shop for the side door handle replacement. I tease Jr that he is wearing it out! He knows what I mean!!! Kisses ha! Anyways it's old and I love stopping to see mark anyways. He let me in after hours, ( he closes at 2pm!!! ), so it was really nice of him to do that for me. I just sold him three prints at the October first walk at the tuner dodge mansion. He should be a comic because his dry and crass send of humor always makes me laugh. My houses locks are from the era when you have to go to the locksmith and should last the the houses lifetime and my lady will be 80 years old in 2012.
He told me that the part would be there tomorrow and that I could stop by then. I went home and worked on a clients photo editing until I just could not do anymore. It was early so going to my local pub to play bingo, yes bingo. There is quite a following and what the hell, how often do I get to bingo! Bertlee is under the weather or he would of been with me. He has a toothache.
